Who would have thought that a simple message board would bring together people from all around the country (and Canada!), and several times already. I was glad to finally meet some of you and can't wait for the next opportunity.

We all met at Mission Beach after the marathon. I was running a little late because: Too much time on the course; long shuttle bus line; traffic, Jack N the Box, and parking. But I finally made it and had a great time.

For several hours we sat and enjoyed good conversation, beer, the ocean breeze, more beer, and people watching. Although I wanted to jump into the water, the 2 foot waves look too menacing for my weakened condition.

Thanks to Bill for locating the ice and for the Tecate. Next time I will try to be a little more prepared.
