Well, I just got back from the First Annual Red Rock/LVM21 Club Run/Walk Reunion and "Hail and Farewell Party". I can say unequivically it was a huge success. I'm sure there will be pictures forthcoming but let me briefly report.

There was a good turnout with; Angie (Runnerangie)and her husband, the good Dr. Salas, a terrific guy; Will (WWill); Jerry (FimFam Man) and his vibrant wife, Jean; Lawrence (Voteforpedro); Sandy (our law enforcement branch SLW085); Famous Dave (Dave Mahar, dog whisperer); Me(VM) and hubby, Mike. Joining the group later at lunch was Dave (Wazzuguy, the infamous Dave).

Between the walking (Sandy, Angie and I)and running, (the guys looked like the "Magnificent Seven" as they blasted down the hills from the summit) it was a great day of comeraderie and one of the best times I've had in years. Mike was the only one who was successful in spotting a wild burro while biking the route. Jean was the anchorwoman, nursing an achilles tendon. Good food and good friends afterward at BJ's. A special thanks to the Wazzuguy for bestowing a gift to all present of commemorative cowbell keychains at lunch. Dave, we drank a hearty cowbell toast to you after you left. Braz, we all missed you and hope you re recovering.

The weather was great, 68-72 degrees, gentle breeze. The restaurant was super, Famous Dave. Good Idea! The best part was however, meeting new friends, the reunion with old friends and the experience of enjoying y'alls' company! The only part that was hard is that Me'n Sandy had to carry President Angie up that mountain road all day. Boy, she's strict. VM
